The number of digits that can be programmed for Emergency Calls has
been increased from 11 digits to 24 digits.
Programming Password:
In previous versions of software, the password to prevent unauthorized
access to system programming was 4 digits. In this new level of
software, the password has been increased to seven digits. Thus,
you now have the option to assign a minimum of 4 digits as a system
password with up to a maximum of 7 digits as a further level of security.
the system comes with a 4 digit default password.

Call Log:
In previous system versions, Caller ID information was automatically
logged, only when a call was not answered. If you answered the
call, the call would not be logged. On the KX-TA624-5, the station
user has the option to log the call after it's answered. To
set an extension to log answered calls, the station used must go off
hook and dial a four-digit code followed by "#". The system
will send a confirmation tone to notify the user that the logging
is set. There are two codes for this new function - 7381# logs
the calls in the station users Personal Log area and 7382# logs calls
into the System Common Log area. You can log calls into both
areas by setting each log are individually using the same procedure
and codes noted above. To cancel logging in either area, the
station user must go off hook, dial 7380#.
Logging calls you have answered is very useful. If for example,
there is a situation where you misplaced a caller's telephone number,
you can simply retrieve the caller's number by checking the log.
(Please note this feature requires subscription to Caller ID service
provided by the local telephone company, in addition you must install
a caller id card).
General Features:
Proprietary Cordless Phone Integration and Single Line Device
Integration allows you to connect answering machines, cordless phones,
fax machines and modems without additional cards or wiring. DISA with
Fax Detection and OGM 3 provides callers with single-digit access
to extensions or ring groups. A Panasonic KX-TA624-5 may also detect
CNG tones from incoming fax calls and automatically transfers them
to the designated fax extension.
The KX-TA624-5 KSU is also capable
of Station Message Detail Recording (SMDR), Toll Restriction, Automatic
Redial, 4 Door Intercom & 4 Door Opener Interface, and Day/Night/Lunch
